MASTERING //

Mastering is a critical final step in the music production process, ensuring optimized playback across all systems and media formats. 

 

For clients who submit a stereo mix, SODA-SOUND will:

 

  • Review the Mix: Our skilled in-house mastering engineers will refine sonic elements using high-end outboard mastering gear in SODA-SOUND’s dedicated mastering suite.

 

  • Optimize for Various Formats: Levels and EQ are adjusted to achieve a consistent sound across all playback systems. Apple Digital Master certification is available as an additional service for enhanced distribution quality.

 

  • Quality Assurance: We perform quality control to ensure that the master represents the best of the artist and remains consistent with their work and genre.

  • Stereo Mix File

  • Reference tracks or previous works for consistency and genre alignment

 

Deliverables:

  • Master File – Standard master file ready for streaming and distribution

  • Reference File – A/B comparison master for cross-platform consistency

  • Master File – Apple Digital Master certified file (optional add-on)

MIXING //

At SODA-SOUND, our experienced engineers specialize in Stereo Mixing, leveraging high-end technology and expertise to enhance each track. Our approach ensures that each mix is tailored to showcase the artist’s unique sound, optimizing for clarity and balance across all playback systems.

 

For clients who submit tracks for stereo mixing, SODA-SOUND will:

 

  • Precision Mixing Techniques: Apply detailed adjustments to balance, dynamics, and spatial positioning to bring clarity and depth to your music.

  • Customized Sound: We ensure that the final mix aligns perfectly with the artist's vision and genre specifications, making each track ready for mastering and public release.

 

Requirements:

  • Tracks must be provided as individual stems or complete sessions.

  • Include any specific mixing notes, desired effects, and creative direction from the artist or producer.

 

Deliverables:

  • Mixed File – Stereo mix formatted for various distribution channels.

  • Reference File – A direct comparison file to demonstrate before and after mixing enhancements.

ATMOS MASTERING //

​All clients are invited to join Atmos Mastering sessions. This is particularly beneficial for engineers who mix using headphones, allowing them to hear their mixes in a fully equipped room. ​

​

For clients who submit an ADM BWF Atmos mix, SODA-SOUND will: ​

 

  • Review the mix in SODA-SOUND's Dolby Approved 7.1.4 studios to ensure coherence in both full Atmos and Binaural (headphones).

  • If we find issues that can't be fixed during mastering, we will inform the mix engineer.

  • Adjust levels and EQ for each channel to achieve a more balanced and immersive sound.

  • Perform quality control to ensure compliance with streaming service standards, making sure that both stereo and Atmos tracks are the same length. ​

 

Requirements:

  • ADM BWF Atmos Mix 

  • Final stereo master for reference ​

Deliverables:

  • Master File – Quality Checked, Mastered Atmos ADM BWF file for supported streaming services

  • Reference File – BIN (binaural down-render reference file) for headphone listening

  • Reference File – MP4 file with audio and metadata for object rendering for consumer Atmos systems​​

ATMOS MIXING //

Since opening our first Atmos room in 2021, SODA-SOUND's talented mix and mastering engineers have had the privilege of working on a diverse range of singles and albums across all genres. With over 8,000 Atmos mixes completed, our facility offers state-of-the-art technology and expertise.

 

For clients who submit projects for Dolby Atmos mixing, SODA-SOUND will:

 

  • Enhance Spatial Audio Elements: Utilizing our Dolby approved 7.1.4 studios, our engineers create immersive, three-dimensional soundscapes that reflect the artist's vision.

  • Tailored Mixing Approaches: We apply genre-specific techniques to ensure the mix not only enhances the artistic intent but also adheres to the highest industry standards.

 

Requirements:

  • Stems from the original session, including insert and master FX printed on the stems (except for limiter).

  • Sample rates of 44, 48, or 96 kHz and a bit depth of 24/16 bit.

  • Any specific notes or creative direction from the artist or producer.

 

Deliverables:

  • Master File – Quality Checked ADM BWF Atmos file for supported streaming services

  • Reference File – BIN (binaural down-render reference file) for headphone listening

  • Reference File – MP4 file with audio and metadata for object rendering for consumer Atmos systems
